Finding jobs is still difficult for Brabanders with labour market disadvantages (DTVNieuws.nl) 

If you are in a wheelchair, have another physical disability, are over 50 or have a migrant background, finding a suitable position is more difficult than for the average person. Hence, employers and organisations from the region gathered in the Brabanthallen on Thursday to make the workplace more inclusive and diverse.

The labour market organisation writes on its website that Brabant is supposedly “the most inclusive province in the Netherlands”, but not everyone agrees with that yet. FNV Nederland and IBN are critical but do find that there is goodwill. The FNV hopes there will be an extra budget available to put its money where its mouth is.   

People with a disability or a labour market disadvantage are still having trouble to find work, despite the current high demand for employees. Sixty per cent of employers are willing to employ these people, but due to various obstacles, only 12 per cent succeed in doing so.
