UWV (werkgevers) interview met Nadia van den Heuvel

‘One of the misconceptions of the century is that labour-disabled people are frequently ill.’ With her company Ictoria.nl, Nadia is proving the opposite. At Ictoria,  people with impairments can develop themselves, and move on to other companies.   

‘I want to help the go-getters, with lots of skills and growth potential. Because partly due to this perception, people with impairments are unfairly denied opportunities in the labour market.’ For instance, one of the permanent employees started at Ictoria with a trial placement. And another employee joined Ictoria through a job coach from UWV.  

‘We operate as a way station; a place where people with impairments can develop themselves, and then move on to other companies. In it, we show what working with people with disabilities is really like. With success! As several Ictorians have since moved on to companies we worked with.’
